Happy Monday…it’s the outtakes!

Yup, while browsing for bargain horses I saw a lot of other stuff.  Very interesting:

I guess this is sacking out-the modern way!

I hope this is their driveway and not a real road…but I doubt it.

And this guy is selling “hores”.  He even has stalls for “hores”.

Horses for sale 900 obo goat pregnet 160 and a hores stall 12×12 330 give me a call at xxx xxxx
I am not sure which one in the picture is the “hore”.
  And then we have:
TWH BLACK AND WHIT VERY FLASHY AT STUD $300 – $300 (murrieta)

image 1image 2image 3image 4
This makes me wonder if he has ever had anyone call him and ask to have their gelding bred!
I LOVE this one…someone has a pet peeve:
There is no such thing as .5 in measuring horses (Everywhere)

It only goes up to “4” and as soon as the measurement hits “4” it becomes the next number!  If you have a horse that measures 13.4 hands, it is a 14 hand horse.  14.4 hands is a 15 hand horse.  15.4 becomes 16 hands. etc. There is NO .5 in horse measuring.  So there can never be a 14.5 horse or a 15.5 horse etc.  Please learn how to measure your pony or horse.
Yes.  Please do!
This one had me giggling:
chocolate mare  – $400 (Jeffersonville ky)

Mmmmm chocolate!  And what is a bang bang?  A gun?  Are you not allowed to say gun on CL?  Or has someone been home alone way too long with their toddler?
Here is some incentive to buy:

Poor guy sounds lonely, and of course he is 14.5!  Maybe I should email the poster 2 ads up and send her the link to this ad?
Ok I am not a breed snob, but warmblood?  Really???
Warm blood colt for sale  (draft/Appaloosa/Quarter cross) – $250 (Cynthiana KY (Phoenix Hollow Farm))

Bay warm blood  five month old colt for sale. Sweet natured and easy in the field. Remington has a huge butt and strong build, and should mature to 16 hands plus. His dam is a draft/Appaloosa cross, and his sire was AQHA.  He will be big, athletic and personable.  We would keep him, but with sixteen horses on eight acres, we have to downsize.  Remington would make a great cross country horse, or a stoutly built  trail horse for a full grown man.   He is shown with our full grown Haflinger stallion, so you can see how big he is going to be.
4 1/2yr old leopard app. – $400 (Waldron )

We’ve owned him since he was born, imprinted and has been messed with all his life. Has benn gelded. Stands tied and for hoof triming. We’ve started him w/ gentle ground work in round pen, several saddlings w/out a rider, plow reigned out in pasture, and he is now up to being ridden.   He is currently to a point where he needs an “experienced” rider, to ride him out daily. He spooked w me one time, due to a heeler dog coming up from behind, bitting his hocks. He is very fast and can Buck pretty good, I’m being completely honest. I work full time, and have to little time to ride him every day like he needs. (479)216-1756 good horse home and serious inquirys only…..Thanks
This is NOT a leopard Appy!  It is an Appy with a big blanket.  Came across tons of mislabeled leopard Apps.  Maybe I am a stickler as I love Apps.   But that’s Ok, he can buck pretty good!
There are also a ton of tricolored paints/pintos, which are just bay and white…NOT tricolored!
horse for sale famale  – $500 (winona )

image 1image 2
I have a horse for sale she is 11yrs old easy to ride very friendly

I am very glad they are going to star school, they could use it!  Hopefully at star school they teach spelin!
There was also a lot of “Phillys” for sale…and the usual photos of people standing on horses backs, and babies in diapers sitting on untacked loose horses (He’s SO quiet!).
And so many breeds I did not know about!  Paintaloosas, Arapaints, Quardrafts…. 😉
And our final ad just fits:
Horse for Dummies Books  – $10 (Brownsboro)

Actually, there’s a perfectly legitimate explanation for MARES ONLY – although yours is funnier.

It means he doesn’t want to take jennies. Gaited mules and hinnies are big in some areas, and he may simply not want to deal with longears (or may not want hinnies on his horse’s record for some reason).

    Sweet gelding companion/leadline home (riverside)

    © craigslist – Map data © OpenStreetMap

10 yr old gelding 14.2 hands great with other horses and dogs. Good ground manners loves to be groomed. He is no sound for riding we are placing him as companion/light leadline flat riding. He will do best on flat ground. He is current vaccines/de-worming/trim/psyllium. He is in good weight. Has slight onset of arthritis. He is a great horse to learn how to groom/handle/tack up on. He is a sweet quite boy not crazy or spooky. Trailers well. Ties good. Free to approved home. Will go with no slaughter/ no auction first right of refusal. Here is the pic Trail 🙂

Ah CHV it makes sense now *slaps own forehead*

  4. CHV says:

It’s not something people in more urban areas where mules are bred less think of immediately.

  5. trailrider20 says:

OK, I give up. My husband told me the only way I would figure out the computer was to get on and try, but I am not able to put up the picture I wanted. Just ignore my previous post.

  6. crow131 says:

I got that pic up for you Trail, it is on the “challenge so far” post 🙂 I tried to load it in the comments but it only puts the link, so it’s not you. Just throw the link up if you can and I will grab them from there.
Very true CHV, I am not in an urban area but mules are still few and far between here, just not popular I guess. We also have nothing like mountainous terrain, so maybe that’s some of it. I have never met one in person (in mule???)

  7. CHV says:

Mules are popular in warmer parts of the country and, yeah, in mountainous terrain. I HAVE ridden a mule – they’re smarter than horses and have a bit of a different gait. If I was living in, say, Arizona, and wanted a trail mount – I’d totally get myself a good mule…they eat less, drink less, and are less likely to spook and bolt if they smell a mountain lion.

  8. crow131 says:

I would like to meet a mule one day! I see donkeys here but no mules.
