Tales from Kijiji Land

Oh boy…never a shortage of material on Kijiji…sigh.

pony 2yr old gelding broke to ride, very quiet and easy to catch, good with other horses and good with his feet, can be rode bareback or with the saddle,Around 36 inches,PH:780-385-6007 viking area

Here we have some excellent riding attire, flip flops and no helmet.  No wonder the kid looks unhappy to be up there!   Or maybe he knows better than to be on a 2 year old and his parents made him get on it for the picture?

makinggeldings stupid

This horse needs to find a good home because she’s making the geldings stupid. Please come out and make areasonable offer, cash or trade, and she’s yours. She’s very calm, always at the fence when you walk down to her…I’m told she was a trail horse, probably
excellent for a beginner or someone who wants a solid mount for hunting or trailriding.

I’m looking for kids quads, a beginner 4-stroke …dirt bike (100-200 cc), early toyota and suburban stuff (need a good 4-runner and old-body sub body etc.) gun stuff, or w.h.y.

I’ll take the best offer I get by halloween. She’s going somewhere on the first.

Making the geldings stupid?  Is she forcing them to watch Lizard Lick Towing and Honey Boo-Boo?  Probably excellent for a beginner?  That’s a heck of a claim to make considering they don’t know a thing about her under saddle.

paint ticks

2 yr old paint stud he isn’t halter broke, has
had nothing but petting. Quiet temperament stands to have ticks picked. $100

Now there’s some training for you!  Stands to have ticks picked off him!  Isn’t that part of Olympic Dressage?

Blk Quarter Horse mare
Has been out with my buckskin quarter horse stud
She is 3 yrs has been saddled but super green .not reg but
Has peppy san on the mother & fathers side $200.00

This one pisses me off…WHY have her out with a stallion when you have no intent on keeping her or doing anything with the resulting offspring?  NEVER MIND that she is only 3!  And of course not trained…and at only 200 dollars!  Now we know where all those pregnant mares in feedlots come from 😦

This one made me laugh, it looks more like a photo for a dating site than an ad for a horse!

I have a yearling Sorel morgan. She was bought at auction. I just don’t have the time to work with a wildy so I have to sell her. Willing to take offers. Would like her gone before the snow flies.

A wildy?

halter filly

We have a 2 yr old filly for sale. Born Fri. May 13th. She is very athletic, streight legs, talented and loves to play. She eats carrots, apples and all treats, follows you around and loves the attention. She was shown in halter as a yearling and a 2 yr old and won 2 blue ribbons. She is utd on worming, loads, trims easy.

As far as Kijiji ad pics go this one is quite good.  She is groomed and stood up fairly well.  So why pose her in front of the flowers?  It blocks our view of her “streight” legs!  Or is it supposed to be added décor, like the ribbon?
I’m glad to hear she eats all treats, not many horses will do that!

On the plus side they have worked with her at a level appropriate for her age, which is nice to see, and she likely has a good chance of getting some interest because of this, and the filly’s condition.

100 horse

This guy above is my bargain of the day.  He is an ex harness racer, UTD on everything, sound and being retrained under saddle, for $100.00!  He is at a rescue, so he is not at risk being priced so low.  Someone is going to get a great deal 🙂

The condition of the pony is terrible.
The mare looks nice. I don’t like the implied threat that she’s “going somewhere”.
Ticks! I’d be alarmed about any horse covered in ticks!
This mare should find a home. She looks good, has had some training, probably should not have been bred, but with papers? Hopefully she’ll land at a good place.
You know, I sometimes see things like this in my area too. An ad for a horse, or horse trainer, but the photo is of an attractive, busty young lady with a horse somewhere in the backround.
Wildy looks nice, and certainly in a nice pasture. Looks like a bargain for someone.
The filly looks great, and I think the sellers just wanted a pretty photo.
Bargain of the day looks great.

I’m assuming the yearling hasn’t been handled much…or reacted badly to THEIR handling.

I’d actually take her or the two year old. Maybe the harness racer.

Agree Trail, I don’t like that “going somewhere” bit either…the mare and filly do look great, the mini I feel sorry for.
CHV if you don’t mind a wildy she’d be perfect 😉 I like that the two year old has not been started, that is refreshing isn’t it?

  4. The stands still for tick picking gave me a much needed chuckle for the day! I do agree with the other poster though, I would be horribly alarmed if my horse was covered in ticks due to the diseases they carry.
